South Point High School / Belmont, NC
Engineering Club
We meet every other Wednesday in Room 105 and build things. Last year that meant bridges and gliders, and this year starts with cardboard machines that move. Anyone can come.
Next meeting
Every other Wednesday
3:30–4:15 PM · Mrs. Best’s room (#105)
What we do
We try to fit as much of engineering as we can into an hour after school, including the parts that happen on a computer.
Code and websites
HTML, CSS and some JavaScript. This website is a club project, and there’s always more to add to it.
Electronics and circuitry
Building simple circuits on breadboards with LEDs and switches. This one is new for us this year.
Hands-on builds
Bridges and gliders last year, cardboard machines this year. Most of it is cardboard, wood, glue and tape.
